Vanilla Spotted White Songbird

Vanilla Spotted White Songbird is created from a dense white art glass. Accents are in grays, red and a reactionary french vanilla. The reactions can be seen on the edge where the white meets the french vanilla. Display all year round. Approximate size: 5"w x 2.5"h x 3/8"d.

Incidental Bird Fact:
The song of the songbird is territorial. It communicates it's identity and whereabouts to other birds as well as signals sexual intentions.

- All art work is handmade by Robert Wiener in the DC Art Glass Studio. Kilnforming is a method of shaping glass in a kiln using heat and gravity. Techniques used by the artist include fusing, slumping, casting, printmaking and coldworking. It is common of kilnformed glass to have slight color shifts and small "champagne" bubbles.
