Orange Fishnet Songbird is created from iridized transparent orange art glass. Advanced formulated rainbow dichroic glass is used for the wing and tail accent, while two-toned dichroic glass make up the eye and beak. Dichroic glass shifts in color depending on the angle of view and lighting conditions, so expect these sections to vary in color. Each bird is unique. Display all year round. Approximate size: 5"w x 2.5"h x 3/8"d.

Incidental Bird Fact:
There are quite a variety of birds that eat fish. Fish-eating birds tend to have rearfacing hooks on their tongues to prevent fish from slipping away. But there are also fish that eat birds. Largemouth Bass, certain catfish and African Tigerfish are all examples of fish that eat birds.

- All art work is handmade by Robert Wiener in the DC Art Glass Studio. Kilnforming is a method of shaping glass in a kiln using heat and gravity. Techniques used by the artist include fusing, slumping, casting, printmaking and coldworking. It is common of kilnformed glass to have slight color shifts and small "champagne" bubbles.

Beautiful glass bird. Very detailed work. I love how the light shines through when hanging on my window. Would by again. Great job!
