Holiday Workshop I

The Holiday Season will be here before you know it! It's never too early to start thinking about decorating and gift giving. This year, start a new tradition by creating your very own handmade glass ornaments. Friends and family will be amazed and delighted by the festive creations you've made that are now hanging from your holiday tree, sitting on your fireplace mantel or glistening in your window. These handmade ornaments are perfect as gifts too!

The first part of this special full-day session participants will learn how to cast glass ornaments, including snowflakes and a set of vintage designs. Next, students will receive instruction on how to create several popular fused glass designs such as holiday trees, a snowman, smiling Santa and pinwheel snowflake (other designs may added or substituted by the instructor). For the remainder of the session students are encouraged to create ornaments based on their own originality (within available supplies, kiln space and class firing schedules). Be sure to bring a very merry and happy holiday imagination!

Holiday Workshop I is a full-day session that is ideal for students with at least some experience in fusing. Prerequisite: Introduction to Fusing I - The Basics, or proven prior fusing experience. All tools and materials are provided for this class.

The week following the workshop, student projects will be fired by the instructor. Participants will then be emailed a notification that their glass creations are available for pick-up at the studio.

Note: During this session, merrymaking will be encouraged, seasonal tunes will be heard and holiday treats will be consumed!

Participants are encouraged to take an at home COVID test a day prior to class to confirm their negative status. On the day of the class, if any participant has tested positive, is feeling ill or has a temperature, they are asked not to attend and to reschedule. While every effort is made for a safe environment, by registering to attend a workshop students agree with studio safety policy and to participate at their own risk. This policy subject to change.

Cancellation Policy

If for some reason there is cause for the studio to cancel a workshop, the studio fully reimburses participants (less processing fee). In the event a student makes a cancellation within 30 days of the workshop, they are not reimbursed unless there is a registered replacement in attendance.
