Summary

The Holiday Season will be here before you know it! It's never too early to start thinking about decorating and gift giving. This year, start a new tradition by creating your very own handmade glass ornaments. Friends and family will be amazed and delighted by the festive creations you've made that are now hanging from your holiday tree, sitting on your fireplace mantel or glistening in your window. These handmade ornaments are perfect as gifts too!

The first part of this special full-day session participants will learn how to cast glass ornaments, including snowflakes and a set of vintage designs. Next, students will receive instruction on how to create several popular fused glass designs such as holiday trees, a snowman, smiling Santa and pinwheel snowflake (other designs may added or substituted by the instructor). For the remainder of the session students are encouraged to create ornaments based on their own originality (within available supplies, kiln space and class firing schedules). Be sure to bring a very merry and happy holiday imagination!

Holiday Workshop I is a full-day session. No fusing experience is required, but it is suggested students have at least some experience in fusing. See Introduction to Fusing I - The Basics. All tools and materials are provided for this class. Age: Adult/Young Adult

The week following the workshop, student projects will be fired by the instructor. Participants will then be emailed a notification that their glass creations are available for pick-up at the studio.
