Freshly fallen snow absorbs sound waves, causing a hushed, quiet aura. However, if the snow melts and then refreezes the sound waves are instead reflected, making sound travel further and clearer.

Techniques used by the artist include fusing, slumping, casting, printmaking and coldworking. It is common of kilnformed glass to have slight color shifts and small "champagne" bubbles.
