Aventurine Green Songbird is created from a fresh mix of white and aventurine green art glass. Details are also in aventurine green and white, plus red. Aventurine glass imitates the mineral of the same name. It includes flakes that give it sparkle. The bird's main body color mix varies, making each unique. Display all year round. Approximate size: 5"w x 2.5"h x 3/8"d.

Incidental Bird Fact:
While hummingbirds have the fewest feathers at around 1,000, penquins have the densest feather coat at around 100 feathers per square inch.

- All art work is handmade by Robert Wiener in the DC Art Glass Studio. Kilnforming is a method of shaping glass in a kiln using heat and gravity. Techniques used by the artist include fusing, slumping, casting, printmaking and coldworking. It is common of kilnformed glass to have slight color shifts and small "champagne" bubbles.
