Snow Globes

From the Happy Holidays Ornament Collection. The Snow Globes are offered with eight scene options: an assortment of colorful holiday lights, a snowy house & tree, a gingerbread man, a snowflake, a snowman and three holiday tree options. Two selections include advanced formulated dichroic glass. Often times dichroic glass is covered with clear glass to give it depth and a color shift. However, these designs called for a matte finish, so the clear cap was left off. Detail color accents on each ornament will vary (i.e., trees, houses, lights and base strips). Limited quantities. Approximate size: 3.25"w x 4.25"h.

- All art work is handmade by Robert Wiener in the DC Art Glass Studio. Kilnforming is a method of shaping glass in a kiln using heat and gravity. Techniques used by the artist include fusing, slumping, casting, printmaking and coldworking. It is common of kilnformed glass to have slight color shifts, imperfect shaping and small "champagne" bubbles.
